The 15-second countdown dialog prevents softlocks. If a chosen resolution distorts your display, do nothing—the system reverts automatically. If it looks great, click “Keep Settings”.

The floating Game Turbo dock is purpose-built for landscape gaming. Touch the translucent side bar on the left edge to open, then explore the four tabs on the navigation rail.

Where FPS data comes from
Osteboss queries frame statistics directly from dumpsys SurfaceFlinger for the active gaming surface, calculating real-time average FPS per second.
Compact Top FPS HUD
A minimalist pill pinned at the top screen edge shows current FPS, battery temperature, and a blinking red REC indicator while recording.
In-Game Screen Recording
Long-press the record tile to open settings: preparation countdown (Off, 3s, 5s), internal game audio capture (Android 10+), 720p to native resolution, H.264/H.265 encoding.
Note: Root requirement: most Game Turbo utilities operate seamlessly via Shizuku without root. Only 4 hardware governor tools (CPU governor, max CPU clock, min GPU clock, thermal throttling bypass) require root.
Per-Game Profiles & Custom Resolution

No fake AI marketing: Osteboss contains zero AI models or simulated boost gimmicks. Every tweak is executed via transparent Android shell binaries (pm, wm, dumpsys), inspectable directly in your logs.
System safety advice: Disabling critical OEM framework packages may impact device functionality. Review the risk tags (Safe, Caution) before disabling packages. An emergency restore button is built in.

Is root required to use Osteboss?
No, root is not mandatory. The vast majority of features—including debloater, resolution scaling, terminal, and Game Turbo—run via Shizuku without rooting. Only 4 hardware frequency locks need root.
Will my phone be supported?
Devices running Android 8.0 or higher are supported. Specific capabilities rely on Android OS releases (e.g. internal game audio requires Android 10+, notifications need Android 13+).
Why does the Game Turbo dock not appear?
The Game Turbo dock is designed to trigger exclusively in landscape mode. Ensure “Display over other apps” permission is granted and the Game Turbo Service switch is enabled.
Can I revert my tweaks if something goes wrong?
Yes. Resolution scaling includes a 15-second automatic rollback, system settings track individual change histories, disabled apps can be restored in one tap, and game tweaks include reset switches.
